About

Global Toxics Research Initiative (GRIT) focuses on toxics, especially those that significantly impact public health and the environment.  Started by Rich Fuller in 2026 together with a body of experts in global toxics, GRIT builds on decades of experience with lead and other toxics.

A key purpose of the organization is to provide tools and resources for those working on these problems.  These tools can be used in efforts to reduce the burden of disease and environmental impact of chemicals and toxics, especially in low- and middle-income countries.  GRIT also leads research around the world to develop and implement solutions to toxics exposures, working collaboratively with governments, local agencies, and others.
