Global Toxics Research Initiative (GRIT)
GRIT researches and implements solutions to save lives and improve health from toxic chemicals around the world.

GRIT focuses on toxics, especially those that significantly impact public health and the environment. Started by Rich Fuller in 2026 with a group of global toxics experts, it builds on decades of work on lead and other toxics. Rich can be reached at fuller@toxicsresearch.org. GRIT is based in New York, with staff, advisors, and more scattered around the globe.
Our tools and resources aim to reduce the disease burden and environmental impact of chemicals, especially in low- and middle-income countries. We also research solutions and work with governments and local agencies to put them in place.
